Meet the Dean and Assistant Dean for Costume College 2026
Hello to all of the wonderful attendees of Costume College, past and future! I’m so thrilled to be the 2026 Costume College Dean. I’ve served on both the Board of Directors of Costumer’s Guild West, and on the Costume College planning committee for a few years now. Costuming is my all-consuming passion, but nothing makes me happier than seeing others have fun and truly be themselves. I’m looking forward to the hard work over the coming year, and will be prioritizing efforts to build community. We’ve already started to implement new ideas to make Costume College more welcoming. So no matter what your background or experience is, or who you are, know that there’s a place for you with us. I hope you’ll come and be part of making this the best year yet. I can’t wait to meet you and to see all of your inspired and dazzling creations!
Hello everyone! I’m excited (and just a little nervous in the best way) to introduce myself as the Assistant Dean for Costume College 2026! That also means I’ll be Dean for Costume College 2027…which still floors me a little. This is such an awesome event and a huge privilege to be invited to contribute to. Some of you may have bumped into me in a workshop, taken one of my classes, or shared a table with me at a meal or function—I’ve been lucky to learn and share alongside so many of you. Outside of Costume College, I’m an engineering manager and goat farmer by day and a costumer, creator and fiber artist by night and weekend, with a love for building creative communities. I am passionate about eco-friendly textiles and techniques, all things Bronze Age, and outfits with extravagant hats. I can’t wait to work with you all to make 2026 & 2027 inspiring, inclusive, and unforgettable!
