We are returning to the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel

Located at 6101 W. Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90045

The Sheraton Gateway L.A. is conveniently located less than one mile from the Los Angeles International Airport.  The 4-star hotel offers free, 24-hour shuttle services to and from the terminals, helping you minimize stress and streamline your travel. For those traveling by car the hotel is easily accessed off of  the I-405 freeway. Additional amenities include a resort-style outdoor pool with several private cabanas, a fitness center, several restaurants, a new small cafe, and bars specializing in California cuisine and craft cocktails! 

Is it worth staying at the new hotel? Yes! It is absolutely worth it to stay at the hotel for the weekend. Much of your Costume College experience comes from the spontaneous things that happen during the run of Costume College that are not on any schedule from impromptu discussions in the hallways to early morning chats over coffee before getting in line for Sunday’s Bargain Basement Sale.

Staying at the hotel allows you to:
  • Have a convenient place to change for the social events; Welcome Party, Friday Social, Gala, and/or  Tea.
  • Have a convenient place to store all the stuff you bring to Costume College and all the purchases you make from the Marketplace and/or Bargain Basement.
  • Enjoy the hotel's outdoor pool, fitness center, cocktail lounge, restaurant, and cafe.
  • Be within walking distance of an abundance of restaurants (see Getting Food article in the Registration Book for details);
  • Lets you relax and enjoy the weekend without driving home LATE or getting up extra early to make it to a class on time.
 

Hotel Reservation Information:

Hotel reservations are made using the link on your Costume College registration confirmation letter directly to the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel. Costume College has a discounted room rate (see below). To receive the discounted rate, please use the reservation link included in your registration confirmation email.  To insure you receive the discounted rate, book your room before Monday, June 17, 2024.  Please note: any reservations made after June 17, 2024, are subject to availability and at prevailing room rates.

Please do not reserve more rooms than you will actually use.  If sharing a room with roommates please have only ONE person in the room make a reservation. 

Cancellations: Due to the demand for hotel rooms as well as CGW’s fiscal need to ensure that booked rooms stay filled (otherwise CGW is required to pay for them) a non-refundable one-night cancellation fee will be charged to hotel reservations that are canceled after June 17, 2024. 

Costume College has a discounted room rates (see below). The discounted rate is good for stays July 16, 2024 through July 22, 2024 based on availability. 

The hotel offers a discounted rate of $169.00 per room (1-4 people), per night, PLUS applicable taxes, for all guests registered with Costume College over the dates of the conference:  July 16-22, 2024. Extensions for the Costume College rate beyond these dates are at the discretion of the hotel.  You must be a registered student, committee member, teacher or volunteer to receive the discount under the Costume College block.

All rooms include mini refrigerators, irons, ironing boards, hairdryer, and coffeemakers Microwave ovens are available on request, though supplies are limited therefore not all requests may be filled. 

Rollaways are available at an additional $10 flat rate per night, for king bedded rooms only (not double bedded rooms).  Please inquire with the hotel for availability; first come, first serve basis.

For those of you planning on hosting guests in your rooms during the evening and into the late night, please try and book a room on the higher floors.  This is to ensure that we are not disturbing any other guests in the hotel, as we will not have an “Entertainment Floor” officially designated.

 

Parking at the Hotel

Self Parking:
Self parking behind the hotel is available to all. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel. The Sheraton Gateway’s parking is provided by Skyview Center Parking and is located at 6101 W. 98th St., directly BEHIND the hotel.  The daily/overnight parking rate is $24 (inclusive), per night. Parking fees are paid at the kiosk near the exit or when exiting. The kiosk accepts all major credit cards

Valet Parking:
For those staying at the hotel, the Sheraton Gateway offers Valet parking for $30 (discounted from $60) plus tax, per night. Valet parking includes in/out privileges and the fee for valet parking will be charged to your room bill. Valet parking is subject to availability.

General Directions to the Hotel

The Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel is located at 6101 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, USA, 90045. From the I-405 exit at Century Boulevard toward LAX Airport.  Turn right on Avion Drive; the hotel will be on the left. Follow the signs for Valet or Self Parking. (For self-parking continue on Avion Drive to the stop sign then go straight to the parking lot.)
