Introducing the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel

Our NEW hotel for Costume College is the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel, located at 6101 W. Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90045

As most veterans to Costume College will tell you, it is absolutely worth it to stay at the hotel for the weekend.  Much of your College Experience comes from the impromptu discussions that occur in the hallways, over breakfast and during late-night visits. Staying at the hotel lets you relax and enjoy the weekend without driving home LATE or getting up extra early to make it to a class on time.  Sheraton Gateway Lost Angeles is looking forward to hosting Costume College in 2023 and their entire staff is excited to make it an extra special weekend for you.    

 

Hotel Information:

Costume College has a discounted room rate details:

King or Queen/Queen Single or Double $149 plus tax
King or Queen/Queen Triple (3 people) $169 plus tax
King or Queen/Queen Quad (4 people) $189 plus tax

All rooms include in room wi-fi access, irons, ironing boards, hairdryer, coffeemakers, and mini-refrigerators. Microwaves are available on request. 

Staying at the hotel allows you to:
  • Have a convenient place to change before the Gala and/or Tea;
  • Have a convenient place to store all the stuff you bring to Costume College and all the purchases you make from the Marketplace;
  • Have a discounted Breakfast on Sunday;
  • Be within walking distance of an abundance of restaurants (see Getting Food article for details);
  • Enjoy the hotel's pool, Jacuzzis, work-out room, cocktail lounge, and restaurant.
For those of you planning on hosting guests in your rooms during the evening and into the late night, please try and book a room on the higher floors.  This is to ensure that we are not disturbing any other guests in the hotel, as we will not have an “Entertainment Floor” officially designated.

 

How to make Hotel Reservations:

The reservation link will be available in late March 2023 and will be emailed to attendees upon registering for Costume College 2023.  Teachers and vendors will be emailed the hotel reservation link separately.

Parking at the Hotel

Costume College Members Staying at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel:

Self-parking (overnight) at the Skyview parking lot (located behind the hotel) is $17.55 inclusive per car per day (24-hour period). Self-parking does NOT include in/out privileges. Skyview is not owned or operated by the Sheraton Gateway. Parking fees are paid to Skyview when exiting.

Overnight VALET parking with in/out privileges is $30 plus 10% city tax per night per car.

Costume College Members Not Staying at the hotel:

Self-parking (day use) at the Skyview parking lot (located behind the hotel) is $17.55 inclusive per car per day (24-hour period). Self-parking does NOT include in/out privileges. Skyview is not owned or operated by the Sheraton Gateway. Parking fees are paid to Skyview when exiting.

General Directions to the Hotel

The Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel is located at 6101 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA  90045.  Take your favorite freeway to I-405 and exit at Century Boulevard toward LAX Airport.  Proceed to Avion Drive and turn right.  The hotel will be on your left.

Disability Accommodation:

It is the policy of the Costumer’s Guild West to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA").  We will not discriminate against any attendee of Costume College.  We will also reasonably accommodate all attendees with disabilities unless the accommodations would cause undue hardship to the Costumer’s Guild West or the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel.

If you require an accommodation for special needs covered under the ADA, you must notify the Costumer’s Guild West and/or the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel within a reasonable time before the beginning of Costume College.  The person you need to notify of your special needs is the Hotel Liaison of Costume College, Maegen Hensley by email at [email protected].

Additionally, we will keep the information regarding your condition and special needs confidential.  Only those members of the Costumer’s Guild West and the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel who are in a “need to know” position will be informed of your situation.
