A Message from the Dean of Costume College 2023

Hello my fellow costumers,

My name is Paige Mattern and I have been attending Costume College since 2009. It has been my dream to be Dean for as long as I can remember. With that being said I am excited to be your Dean for the upcoming year.

I would not feel as confident taking this on were it not for the effort and dedication Christienne Palmieri put into preparing for Costume College 2023. I would like to thank her for the tremendous amount of time she has and continues to provide to Costume College.

What is Cosplay to me?

Cosplay is the act of dressing in any COStume and PLAYing a character from any period, book, movie, or graphic art. So, in essence, it is what we as costumers do. This includes all types of costumes, such as Historical dress, Fictional characters, Book to Screen characters, Anime, Fantasy characters, and even Woodland creatures.

We are still working out the dates for next year, so stay tuned.
